Hopkins Champagne Rabbits
This family weren't even on my wishlist as they often go quite high at auctions. However recently a lot came up with them in and a few other figures and families (Spotter grandparents, Mulberry grandparents, Pettyfurs and Grunts) that between us we were interested in. The lot wasn't advertised as having the Champagne rabbits so I was hopeful that others might not have noticed! However our maximum bid was beaten at the last second of the auction. We thought that was that but a day later the lot came back on again this time for only three days midweek so I was hopeful it might get less interest. This time our maximum won it comfortably and we got it for £20 less than it had gone for the first time! The parcel arrived the day before Martha was due to visit so we waited to open it together. I am delighted to have this family for not much more than current families are priced at. I would love to add the triplets one day but they are so hard to come by that I'm not sure this will ever happen.
I have no idea where this family will live as they weren't part of my original expansion plans. I think for now they will have to alternate between staying with their cousins the Corntops and Dappledawns.
Update: I found the triplets for a bargain price- another case of the seller not realising the value of what they were selling. I really feel like they need their own home now. I'll have to see what solution I can come up with
Update 3: They have moved into Oakwood Manor with their cousins the Dandelions.
