Woodbrook Beavers
This family have been on my wish list since returning to collecting. The original Waters beavers were one of my favourite families and I loved the idea of a different set of beavers. I'm also a fan of the four family member sets with just one child and one baby. I particularly liked that this one had a baby boy (still waiting for a family of four where the child is a boy!!!).
I thought my wait for this family would be much longer as they are quite pricey new and I hadn't seen then come up on the second hand market. I was doing a routine check of newly listed items on ebay and saw this family for under £10. Couldn't pass up the chance so here they are. They live in the log cabin which is perfect for their outdoor adventures.
Update: Like buses....Another family came up even cheaper so I snapped them up with the intention of reselling one but then found out the babies were different. After consulting the forums, I found that one was made with a Waters' mold but in Woodbrook colours. I found that I didn't want to part with either baby so decided to keep both families. One I have turned into the Seabrooks so that I don't have identical families.
Update 2: They brought out a very cool hiking set with more Woodbrooks! This set was a must and I was thrilled when it came out in the UK at the same time as Japan so no waiting was necessary. I stuck with the names beginning with A and E for my new ones.
Update 3: I wasn't going to bother with the baby blind bag camping series but we got some free with a large birthday/Christmas SSK order and really pleased when one of them turned out to be a Woodbrook and the little fire that he came with works well with his hiking set siblings.
