The Lost Boar
It was the end of a long and exciting day at the Waddlingtown Baby Amusement Park and Eustace was feeling very tired and ready to go home.
“Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, Felicity, Felicity, Felicity, Susan, Susan, Susan” roared Eustace, “Time to go home.” “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Well that’s nearly all of them, let’s be off shall we.”
Victoria was horrified, “Eustace all our children are equally important, we can’t leave any behind.” “Oh erm well, no, of course you’re right. I love all my children. I’ll leave these safe with you and go and search for our missing son. I won’t rest til we have him back.” When he spotted the bouncy castle Eustace felt sure the problem was solved. Surely he would find Charlie jumping around here. After a thorough and slightly alarming search
Eustace had to admit his son was not on the bouncy castle! He wasn’t in the boat swing or the train tunnel.
He sprang round the slide and there was his son dangling precariously from the tyre swing.
Once Eustace had rescued his son he joyfully swung him up onto his shoulders and hurried off to reunite with the rest of the family.

He looked around hopefully waiting for his numerous offspring to appear.
Soon he was surrounded by little boars. Eustace looked high and low (literally), on the aeroplane ride, spinning Ferris wheel and the whirling banana boats. Sadly Charlie was nowhere to be found. "Hmm," he pondered, where else could Charlie be? He had been sure his son would be on a high adrenaline ride.
He kept going now feeling very worried about what could have happened to poor Charlie. Suddenly he heard a grunt, where had it come from? Surely no other creature could make that sound. It must be Charlie, but where was he?
Aha, the baby playground that must be where Charlie was. Eustace was despairing when there was another squeak and then “Daddy, Daddy help me please.”
He rushed forward to catch him, “ Don’t worry, Charlie everything will be fine, you’ll be safe now I’m here,” he said
reassuringly. As soon as he saw them he yelled, “Here is the lost boar who has now been found, let’s go home to celebrate.”
All the Truffles gathered round to welcome the lost Charlie back. It was a very noisy party they had that night!
