Husky Dogs
When the promotional photos for this family came out, I immediately loved them but when they arrived in shops and I saw them in real life, I began to have doubts. The mother just looked wrong somehow and I much preferred the male colouring and markings. I was gutted because I love the clothes, particularly the jumpers but I was put off getting them. A couple of years later though, I saw the mother in a new light (literally the lighting in the shop was better) and I finally got them. This is my first family with the tiny triplets so Martha then got me the triplet buggy and cot which have been most fun to play with.
I decided to replace the original names with more fitting ones mainly because Husky is a rubbish surname because it's just their breed. After I'd changed the surname to Sledwoods (a play on Edwards), I decided to go with a snow/arctic theme with the first names.
I also have the Happy Christmas Friends set which has another sister husky and the standing baby. They don't match the family very well in terms of their clothes but are very cute! I've named the sister Alberta because the Alberta White Spruce is a type of Christmas tree and Prince Albert is credited with introducing the tradition of trees at Christmas. I've called the baby Avery because it means ruler of the elves which seemed fitting!
