Marguerite Rabbits
When the photos for the 35th anniversary Sylvanians came out these caught my eye. I loved the colour of their clothes and hadn't added any rabbit families to Waddlingtown for a while. When they arrived I was not disappointed, the next problem was naming them. My inspiration came from their given name of Marguerite. This made me think of one of my favourite books, The Scarlet Pimpernel and so the rest of the names easily followed. The males are all named for members of the English League and the females after women rescued from the French revolution. One day I will write the story of Percy and his alter ego and explain the secret work he carries out in Waddlingtown.
'We seek him here, we seek him there,
Those Sylvanians seek him everywhere.
Is he by the river?- Is he in a dell?
That demmed, elusive Pimpernel.'

That demmed, elusive Pimpernel.'
