Hunter-Smyth Labradors
This family went straight on my wish list when I went back to collecting and they come up a lot on ebay but I bided my time as I wanted an opened handed set at a good price. I actually ended up getting the Calico Critters triplets first and they had to wait a whole year before getting their family to come and look after them. After rejecting many lots based on condition. price or missing bits of clothes I eventually I bid on a set that seemed in good condition and got them for under ten pounds. To my amazement when they arrived they all had original stickers on their feet which the seller hadn't even advertised. Sadly they have nowhere to live and given that there is a ban on new buildings, they may have to stay homeless.
Update: Despite always thinking I wanted the Flair version as I prefer their clothes, a rare open handed Epoch version showed up in a bundle and I realised I really liked them too! Rather than make the difficult choice of which to keep and which to sell, I've just kept both! The Calico Critter triplets are a better fir for the Epoch version but my original Flair ones have been joined by three babies of their own. I've used the Calico Critter names for my Epoch family to go with the Calico Critter triplets.
Update 2: The ban against new buildings has been ignored! The Labradors now are the proud owners of Willow Hall
